Windows XP shut down issue

My Windows XP system has started to hang at shut down and
just will not shut down. I would have to cut off power to
shut it down completely. Has anyone else had this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

yup, i am haveing the same similar problem.
only mine just locks up with out warning, nothing works. only to power off.
had this before, and had to tottally reboot/ restore everthing, dont wanna do that again.
