A desktop shortcut which used to open a folder and files now goes to
the 'search' function.
How can I revert to the folder and file listing?

The date and time was 1/31/2008 8:36 AM, and on a whim, Rbobh pounded
out on the keyboard:
A desktop shortcut which used to open a folder and files now goes to
the 'search' function.
How can I revert to the folder and file listing?

Right click on the shortcut and select Properties. Under the Shortcut
tab, click the Find Target button and navigate to the appropriate
file/folder and double click it.

Does this happen when you try to open a folder directly? If so, take a look at
this article.

If it only happens with shortcuts, see if the LNK File Association Fix available
on this web site helps.
