Windows XP Service Pack 2

I have recently reinstalled my system. I purchased XP with SP2 and am having
some trouble with the following. After creating a VPN to my office I cannot
map to drives on the remote server. I also can no longer run Yahoo games
(although this is a smaller problem it's annoying to say the least). I have
tried to disable Firewall, lower security, turn off pop up blocker - all to
no avail. HELP. I am going back to purchase anothger XP CD without SP2 and
start over if I cannot get some way to improve this situation.

With the firewall, try adding a program from the list, then after select
edit(for the
program),then select exceptions,edit to youre network only,then close-out.

Programs that connect to IP addresses that are in the loopback
address range may not work as you expect in Windows XP Service Pack 2

Windows SP2 does not include a native Flash Player or Java.
You should download the following for free:

Free Software - Java Software for the desktop
http://java.com/en/index.jsp

Macromedia Flash Player
