Windows XP Service Pack 2 Network Installation Package for IT
Professionals and Developers ??

They say don't download it for one PC owners ??, got DSL can download
it in NO TIME FLAT :), whats in it thats no good for single pc owners
?

There is nothing wrong with it for single users.
Microsoft posted that stupid message to not use it for single computers for
two reasons.

1. It is a large download(266 MB) and the Windows Update download will be
smaller(80-100 MB) since WU will only download the files you don't already
have. The network install contains all the files in the update.

2. They wanted the download bandwidth that they had for the network install
to be used by the network users that it is aimed at instead of the millions
of single computer users.

I would still download it even if it's not recomended.
Having a local copy provides me a backup of clean SP2.
I can use it any time in the future when I need to reinstall my system.
It saves time and money.

I did the Network install on my two PC's and all is quite well. Things
seemed to run slow for a few days but now everything is back to normal. The
install took about 45 minutes.

Ok might give it a go just got to read more about it, it seems to
cuase some trouble, but iam itching to do a format and reinstall :),
have not done that for AGES with XP :), clear some junk out.
