I've got a Dell Dimension 5150 with an LCD monitor connected through the DVI
port (ATI Radeon 128 mb card). I can't get my screeensaver to come on after
the alloted time has expired. Has anyone heard of this before? Anyone know
how to resolve it?

Posting from another user by the name of David:
â€I figured out what the problem is. It's the Microsoft Wireless Mouse. If I switch
the mouse to one with a tail the screensaver works.â€
then David posted again
â€I got a fix. I changed to connection to the computer using the USB to PS2 adapter
that came with the mouse. Now I get the screensaver. I would be interested to find
out why this works.â€

Another checkpoint - make sure that a program is not causing the computer to remain
active. You may have a program running in the background that springs into life when
the computer is idle.

Allied to the previous posts - I have a less than year old PC. I have just
installed a MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 with Intellitype 5.4 software.
Since then my screen saver will not work. I'm running XP SP2. I have tried
all the previous solutions posted, to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks
