windows xp restarting problem

after installing sp2 on the computer when i click on the restart button the

I find this description of the problem a tad vague, so I take it in the
literal form, meaning the computer shuts down after installing Service Pack
2, which is normal as it has to restart. This is completely normal as there
have been made some significant modifications with SP2, and this is one of
the rare occasions Windows XP has to restart.
