Windows XP Repair 2nd R hiding

Hi!

Have been trying to do the Windows XP Repair install with both Home and Pro,
but facing the same problem, the 2nd R Repair alternative, after the Install
Enter and the Licence acceptance F8, will not be shown on menu.

Tried the Michael Stevens procedure
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm step by step with all
the variations, but didn't get the 2nd R popping-up to the menu on any of the
trials.

There must be some explanation to this "hiding 2nd R" symptom. Could this
somehow be connected e.g. to the Fujitsu-Siemens Windows XP Home and Pro OEM
Recovery CD's or the MS Windows XP Pro Upgrade CD applied for these trials,
or to something else?

Hi!

Yes, the problem may be in trying the repair with a wrong language version
CD ...

Will come back soon, after getting the right language CD in hands and trying
the repair with that one.

Yes, confirmed!

The problem was trying the repair with a wrong language CD, i.e. the repair
install will work in full only with the right version and language Windows CD
....

Regarding the type of the CD, I did check this with an OEM version CD and an
Fujitsu-Siemens OEM Recovery CD both working well even the latter is slightly
doubted somewhere, and also with an Upgrade CD working well. The Full
Licence CD, which would undoubtly work in this, wasn't checked ...

Now, I'll go on doing/checking the Registration process with all the
variations.
