Well, to capture the Error Message, you need to do this:
-- Right Click My Computer and select Properties.
-- On the System properties click Advanced tab.
-- Then click on Startup and Recovery Button.
-- On the start Up and Recovery make sure this box unchecked.
--[ & ] System Failure
[ ] Automatically restart <= uncheck this box.
Also have a look in the event Viewer for Error messages that can shed some
lights on the causer.
To access the event Viewer do the following:
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK]
There double click any Error messages (X) to get more Info and you can copy
and paste in your next message.

Make sure your Laptops or machines not configured or a Device configured for
Power saving.
Like your NIC, screen Saver can put the computer Off, Power schemes, so
check your Power Schemes that not configured to restart after a certain time.
HTH.

You are presumably blue-screening, and you are set to reboot whenever that
happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On the Advanced
tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System failure,
uncheck the box "Automatically restart."

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get the
blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those details for
more help.

I have seen this problem, since I work for a computer shop that
deploys Acer computers to our client's networks.
I spent allot of time trying to narrow this down to one specific
program and/or setting.
The closest I have come is there appears to be a conflict between the
built in Acer E-management software and the Corporate Antivirus 10.1.

When I unload either of the 2, I get a stable system.
There may be a way to limit the Symantec Corporate Anti virus program
to avoid scanning a particular folder, or set some other setting in
such a way that prevents the spontaneous reboot. But I never had the
time.
The moment I figured out that I could remove the E-management software
to fix the problem, it was GONE!
I phoned Acer's Technical staff about this and got into an ethics
argument. It appears that they know of the problem, but are unwilling
to admit it to the casual questioning.
It was only after I discovered the link between the 2 programs, that
finaly I got them to admit that they already know of the problem.
Their answer to me was:
If you are in a corporate environment where you need to deploy a
Corporate antivirus solution, then you no longer need the features
that the E-management software provides for home installations.
In this case, the Corporate environment usually already has a Ghost
Image for deployment that does not include the E-management software.

There are about 5 things you need to remove from the Add-Remove
programs, all of which start with E-<something>
and one of them requires that all the other 4 items are removed first,
before you can remove the last.

I hope this is a solution.

Absolutely amazing that Acer firstly want to deny the problem until they are
"bludgeoned around their collective thick skulls" before they can admit they
know of the problem and offer a fix! Doesn't say much about how they care
for their clients! Sell and be damned.
