I suspect that you have already tried this based on your post, but just in
case: if the error messages you see asking for the Windows CD has a
"browse" button, you can click that button and point to the
\Windows\System32 folder. It used to be fairly reliable to do this in
earlier versions of Windows, but less so with Windows XP.
If you do not see the browse button in the error dialog, or browsing to the
\Windows\System32 folder does not allow you to clear the error, then you
will need to get a Windows XP CD to resolve this problem.
Even if you could get past the one error you are currently seeing, it
probably wouldn't be too long before you see another error that will
require the Windows XP Cd.
