WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL UPGRADE

Marek Lachowicz

Hi,

I have ordered WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL UPGRADE E85-00087
(UPG WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL VUP)from internet store but
I received WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL 'for distribution with
new PC only'.

This box contained two CDs 'Upgrade Microsoft Windows XP
Professional' Part No. X08-33952 and 'Microsoft Windows
XP Professional' Part No. X08-33953.

Is this correct software to update Windows XP Home
Edition to Windows XP Professional ?

With Regards,

Marek Lachowicz

what should I do ?

Marek

You need a conventional "retail upgrade version" of Windows XP
Professional (E85-01012)
in order to upgrade over Windows XP Home Edition.

OEM versions of Windows XP Pro cannot perform an upgrade
over an existing Windows installation. They can only be installed
on a reformatted drive or partition.
