Hello,

I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro due to corrupt file in root directory. I
have to select which XP to load on my laptop or it will proceed
automatically. The good operating system is highlighted first. The bad one
is last on the list. I just want Windows to boot striaght through without
going to that select menu. How do I get rid of the second ops system that
is corrupted?

I orginally had Windows XP Media on my laptop.

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Click on the BOOT.INI tab and then click on "Check All Boot Paths"
to delete incorrect boot paths.
