OK my computers are dropping like flies lately. I have 1
newer Dell that when I turned on, said it was missing a
component (system32 something) so I called Dell and was on
hold for an hour and didn't talk to anyone. So I tried a
repair which failed, and then a total reload. I can't get
pass the icon (password) screen. Help....

Oh about the flies, I have a Windows 98 computer that is
dead with the same kind of missing info, and my son's
custom built with win xp professional also died of the
same causes.....

3 computers crashed for the same reason, but you don't
know what it is?
A little info might help out... Sometimes you can just
repair a single file using the recovery console if it's
not a whole slew of errors.

just need to understand on the xp professional...do i just
need to change the dip switches inside the box to create a
new password? Then reload windows? thanks

Dip switches??! There are no dip switches. Are you talking about jumpers
to clear the CMOS on your motherboard? Are you talking about a BIOS
password (as opposed to an operating system password)? Please post back
clearly stating exactly what you are trying to do. If you have received
error messages, say what they are. Otherwise, just call a good local
computer repair person to come to your house and straighten everything
out. If you want to post back, please read this first:

This is not meant to hurt your feelings, but if you don't describe your
problems clearly (and you have not), then other people who *want* to
help you (like me) can't.
