I recently reformated my hard drive on a Dell 8200 (lot's of memory, etc)
and reinstalled xp pro. For a few weeks I could put it in sleep mode and
wake it up with a keystroke or mouse movement, but it no longer is wakeable.
If I put it into sleep mode, the only way to wake it is to hard reboot. What
might cause this and is there any fix?

Logan that was dumb answer.......
Try this after doing some updates my bios settings
changed and i went into bios and changed the wake on
keystroke in my bios again.... try that hope that helps

Check its BIOS setup; there may be some setting there that needs to be
on for the keyboard or mouse to be noticed

tried that. there was something I enabled: remote wakeup. I wasn't sure what
it was, but it did not fix the problem. As I say, it had been working for a
while.
Thanks.
