Windows XP Pro - Won't allow Software Removal

I had some software fail, i.e. TurboTax by Intuit, and the recommendation
from them was to remove and reload. XP will not let me remove it. I logged
in as Administrator and still it would not let me remove software, add users
or any of the other things an administrator should do. Now, I did not
remember my password, but it allowed me in with just a "return" key. What do
I need to do? Thanks

TurboTax uses an Msi installer. You can download a Microsoft
add-on tool, Microsoft Installer Cleanup. Download/Install & Run.
TurboTax and their "It's Deductible" will appear in the program listing.
