Windows XP Pro SP2 Boot Hang problem

Recently installed the XP Pro SP2 and now it takes over 2 minutes to boot
into windows. I gt the XP splash screen and it just sits. I have the dummy
Ip Address installed in Local area connection for my Verizon DSl. That addy
is 10.255.255.10 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. Is ther something else that
I can try to eliminate this unacceptable boot time?? Everything was
lightning quick before going to SP2.

thanks in adavance for any advice,

Ray

I have the exact same problem. I have disabled everything in msconfig
and still it takes forever to boot. I don't believe the problem is
related to your IP configuration. Is there a way to see what process
is the hold up?

Thanks,
Tom
