I think I have narrowed it down to a device problem. Upon going into event
viewer I see the error stating the following "\Device\Ide\IdePort1\ , did
not respond within the timeout period." This appears to be causing my long
boot up time of almost 2 minutes. What the heck does this mean. Is there a
setting (bios or registry) I can change that will eliminate this timeout
period and just boot
the damn machine up??
Thanks in advance,
ray
