Windows XP Pro Shutdown

Mike

Anyone know what this means?

XP when shutting down displays a message as follows:

END Program

Socket Notification Sink etc. etc.

Tells you you will lose any unsaved data if you
choose "End Program"

Is this serious and how do I fix it or stop it from
happening?

Thanks for any advice.

If you wish us to help then we need exact messages, not etc. etc.

Somewhere in that etc. etc. is a reference to an application or exe and that
app may be the source of the issue. Once you get that information, you can
then check to see if the application is up to date and/or XP compatible, you
can also check its website for known issues as well as make sure your device
drivers are up to date by checking their manufacturer websites as out of
date drivers might cause an app to hang on closing.
