Windows XP Pro Reinstalling

My systems seems to be working OK. but a few strange things have been
happening and I think some of my system files are corrupt. Can I reinstall
windows XP from within Windows to try and fix the problem or do I have to do
a clean install or restore from a previous date?

Will, I think you are talking about a Repair Install vs. A clean
