Windows XP Pro Backup Utility

My Backup Utility quit functioning a while ago and I have
done research on it, however, I cannot get any answers.
It used to perform fine, now it cannot find the utility.
When I start to perform a backup, I receive a window on
my desktop which starts out with "Backup Utility" then
after awhile it reads "Cannot Find Backup Utility" and
this remains on the desktop until I reboot the system. I
would appreciate any and all help. Thank you.

Try reinstalling the utility from the WinXP CD. It might be
corrupted/missing files that are the problem.
