Windows XP Pro and IIS

D

Darren

I have two PCs on an internal LAN. One runs XP HE, the other XP Pro.

I have installed the IIS component on the Pro machine so that I can use it
as a testing ground for websites before publishing them to the world (I use
Frontpage 2003).

Whilst websites on the Pro machine function, whenever I try to publish asp
pages to it, Frontpage states that the server I am publishing to does not
support active server pages (even though the IIS installation installs two
of it's own by default - default.asp and iisstart.asp).

Have I missed out some configuration in the IIS Manager or missed something
during installation of IIS?

Regards
Darren

To disable the SP2 warning for running activeX on a local computer page, go
to : IE, Tools menu, Options, Advanced Tab, -- scroll down to the Security
area, check the box for, "Allow active content to run in files on My
Computer"
