Windows XP port access

I have a USB port replicator with a serial, a parallel, 4 USB, etc. The
parallel port appears to the system as USB001. It works fine connected
directly to a printer, with USB001 selected as the port in the Windows
driver. However, I have a Windows program (specifically IAR kickstart) that
uses a parallel port to write to/read from a JTAG progrmmer. It has the
choices LPT1,LPT2, LPT3. Is there a way I can redirect LPT3 to USB001?

Would you ba able to use a USB-parallel dongle? That might well map the
USB port to an LPT port. I use the serial versions of these dongles
regularly with excellent results.

Here's an example, though this one looks like it has a Centronics connector,
which you may not want, in which case you'll need to look further:
