Windows XP Now NT?

I got the 'So Big' virus which has been removed. My
computer now says my "System" is 'NT' -not XP, and it's
in MS DOS--I don't want to operate in MS DOS--I don't
know how to get out of that--is there a "Command" I can
type in to put the CPU back like it was? I want to run
McAfee, but they say they don't recognize 'NT'-Help?-Lu

Boot with your WinXP CD inserted, it is a bootable
disk. Go to Start/Run/type CMD and click OK. This will
bring up the Command (DOS) prompt. At the blinking
cursor type SFC /SCANNOW this will activate the CD to
search for missing or corrupted files in WinXP. Good
luck.
