I write webpages using notepad.

I wrote several pages, then used WS_FTP Pro to upload the pages. Now I need
to edit some of them, so I have downloaded the files back onto my PC again
using WS_FTP Pro.

While I edit the files, everything look just fine, until I save the files.
After I save the files, all of the text in the file becomes one long line
instead of having it in a "paragraph" form as before the save.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

These are files that I have to update from time to time, and this will make
it extremly hard to make my updates with the text in this format.

Again, I am using Win XP, wordpad with wordwrap on and WS_FTP Pro.

If there is a newsgroup better suited for this question, please let me know.

Thanks...

That's Notepad default - click on Format-wordwrap.

Why don't you edit the original file on your computer, then overwrite the
file on the server?

I was wanting to keep the message short, so I didn't say why.

I bought a new PC and all of my info is on the old PC. The easiest way to
get the files is to download them from the web and do the update.

But... I have tried putting a couple of the files on a 3.5 floppy and
transfering them to the new pc. It still svaes that way.

It seems that anytime that I save a .htm file on the new pc in notepad, it
saves it that way.

Thnaks...
