Windows XP / Norton Antivirus 2004 problem

Hi there,
I have a fresh "Win XP home SP1a" installation on my new harddrive and
after installing the new "Norton Antivirus 2004" the windows startup
process after the user passwort entry is retarded for 60-90 sec,
during which the NAV symbol in the taskbar is doublecrossed (inactive)
, then it becomes active and everything is ok.

Using the Symantec assistent it gave me the system status/error:

service_missing:Symantec Core LC@process_missing:symlcsvc@

Following further on in the assistent I noticed that is no
"ccRegVfy.exe" file in the startup section of msconfig, this file
isn´t even on my harddisk (on the web I found that this file maybe
NAV2003 only).

Who can help??
I´ve installed Win XP the second time to solve it, but now I know its
definitly the NAV2004 causing this delay.

Thanks in advance!
Tom.

P.S. for the experts: thats the whole Symantec assistent system data:
