Windows XP logon

Since purchasing my laptop new 6/03, each time I turned
it on it would take me to the desktop. A couple weeks ago
it started taking me to a logon screen where I would
choose a user name (only one name appears) and I select
it and it takes me to the desktop. An annoying extra step
that Compaq seems unable to resolve. Any help would be
appreciated.

Hi Richard,

You can fix the issue by doing the following:

Go to the following Microsoft website and download the PowerToy TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
After you download and install it you can launch it by going to Start ->
Run -> TweakUI
Click on Logon and then enter the User name you want to automatically login.
