Windows xp - loggon problems

I upgraded my computer from me to xp at home. It is not part of a domain or
anything and when i try to log on i get this message "The specified doamin
either does not exist or could not be contacted." And i can not log on to
save mode because i still need a password to get in. Could somesome tell me
what
to do
 
Usually if no password has been set up,then press enter key.Also,if you
run xp in safe mode,enter as administrator.
