Windows xp keeps updating.

I installed Windows XP Pro64. When I went on the internet after downloading
Internet Explorer 7 it took me to the update page. That was fine. It looked
over my computer and gave me a list of updates. I downloaded all of them and
they installed. Now, every time I go on the internet it takes me back to the
update page. After running it tells me there are no further updates- that I
have them all. It keeps doing that everytime I go on, even though I turned
off every update feature reminder, etc. How can I stop windows from doing
this?

x64 issues should be posted to the 64bit newsgroup, and IE7 issues in
particular, no matter the OS, should be posted to the internet explorer
newsgroup. There is also a windows update newsgroup.
