Today my computer won't leave the startup mode. It is stuck with the little
LED bar moving but it doesn't stop. I am able to get in through the safe
mode and performed a syystem restore, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

At starting computer, tap the F8 key, select safe mode, enter as administrator,
go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree,type:EXIT Restart
computer.

I'm having a similar problem. My brother went into control panel, and user
accounts and did something i'm not sure, but anyway, I turn on the computer,
the HP blue screen comes up, then it goes to a black screen with a white blip
at the top left corner, and it WILL NOT START UP. can someone help me? If I
can just get into windows, I think I can fix the problem at that point.

Andrew: Would this also work for my problem, which is when I have to restart
my newly installed Windows XP Home Edition, for any reason, the computer goes
to my HP Blue Screen and won't initialize and restart my Windows ? Up to
this point I've just had to turn the computer off, and restart it (a hard
boot) to get it to restart. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks.
