I am trying to re-install Windows XP on my Dell Demension
4400 computer. Installation completed, however when my
computer boot's up, The Windows Xp Professional display
is seen and then the computer screen goes black for
approximately 3 minutes and then blue and the computer
reboots. The computer does not stay in the blue screen
long enough to read error. Anyone have any idea's as to
what is wrong?

You can press the pause key to freeze the current display
You can do 1or 2 fixes, shutdown,on starting enter the
BIOS,exit page,select,load set-up defaults,then save
changes and exit BIOS.Install xp cd,boot to cd,recovery,
if asked for password press the enter key,at recovery
type:CHKDSK C: /R
When its thru,type:EXIT
Let xp load, dont boot to cd,remove cd any time after
exit.

Thanks Andrew for the reply. I did try Chkdsk /r and got
a the following response: The volume apears to contain
one or more unrecovrable problems. Do I start over again
by trying to re-install XP with my recovery CD.
