Windows Xp Install problems - No Internet

I just recently reinstalled Windows Xp and I can not get them items below to
work in device manager. It has a question mark next to each item: Base System
Devise, Bluetooth by HP, Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller,
Network Controller, PCI Modem, Unknown Device, and Video Controller. How do I
repair and get back on the internet?

There is nothing to 'repair' - you just have not finished installing.

You need the hardware device drivers that allow said hardware to communicate
with Windows XP and WIndows XP to communicate with said hardware in return.

Download those from the hardware manufacturer(s) web page(s). Install them.
Things will start working better.

As for how you know what you have - one would hope - since you purchased the
system - you would know this. If it is a third-tier system - merely visit
that manufacturer web page, enter in the model and download the drivers from
their support/drivers web page (like for IBM/Lenovo, Dell, HP, Gateway,
etc.) If it is a piece-meal system - look at your invoice and/or open the
machine up.

You can determine basic system manufacturer information with certainty
and then visit their WWW site and download the latest/needed
drivers.

Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

msinfo32

Click OK.

If you need help:

When the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select All, Copy and
then paste
back here.

There will be some personal information (like System Name and User
Name), and whatever appears to
be private information to you, just delete from the pasted
information.

This will minimize back and forth Q&A and eliminate guesswork and
assumptions.
