Windows XP Hotfixes

In the last 2 week my PC has slowed down terribly. I think it happened after
the last automatic Windows Updates. It was definitely an authorised Windows
update.

In the list of Add/Remove Programmes, I have about 50 Hotfixes, some of them
for SP2. I haven't loaded SP2 onto my system, so could that be the problem.
Can I delete some of the older Hotfixes?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

door)"
Absolutely FALSE as is much of what you post.

Unless you are referring to Automatic Update if enabled.
Automatic Update is not a "back door" since it is an easy tool to
locate and use.

Jill,

It is time to get SP2 FAST before Jupitor Jones and/or Carrie Fricsh come to know about it. They are used to using arm twisting techniques to force people to install SP2.

Once SP2 is installed, you will have about 3 or may be 4 hotfies to worry about. If you don't install SP2 then Uncle Bill will (through the back door) without your consent and this will make your system even worse. Go now and order a free CD from Uncle Bill's website and get going with SP2.

Hope this helps.
