Windows XP Hotfix KB828035 may have caused a problem...

My computer downloaded the security update for Microsoft
Windows XP[KB828035] on 11/14. I had my computer install
the program 11/15. I began having problems gaining
access to Internet sites as well as sending or receiving
any email. I can only gain access to Websites if I go
through my MSN Explorer that has a SECURE IE program
installed into it. My computer does not download any
Website pictures, I get some with only partial pages and
response is slow (I have DSL). I also end up with
applications hanging and I must close them or remain
locked in that application forever. I checked my
computer's "System Event View" and noted that all my woes
started shortly after installing the Hotfix program.
HELP!

Go to the Add or Remove Programs applet in your Control Panel.
Scroll down to "Windows XP Hotfix - KB838035" and uninstall it.
Then reboot your computer.

I deleted the Hotfix KB828035 from my computer and now

my computer is working fine.

Ho Carey,
I'm also having a small problem with kb828035 - auto update is telling me to
install the update and it is already installed as of 11/11/03. I will, as
you advised Pat, uninstall the program - but what is the problem and do you
know if MS are working on a fixed version?
