My computer crashed and i reformated the Hard drive & reinstalled windows XP
Home but know i seam to have 2 instalations how do i get rid of one and make
windows start without having to tell it witch instalation to start with
Please Help Me fix this

Format the drive again and this time when you install XP and it reboots
and says "hit any key to boot from CD", DON'T! Let it reboot without
touching a key.

Hi Suzanne,
Start the "msconfig.exe" program (by going to "Start" then "Run"
and typing "msconfig.exe" into the run dialogue box) and on the tabs at the
top choose the one named BOOT.INI Under this tab will be all the entries
that correspond to each installation that's listed at startup along with the
amount of time you're given to choose one. You can change both here by
using the "move up" and "move down" buttons and the "set as default" button
and even change the Timeout= number! Hope this will be of some help to you
in resolving this issue.
