windows xp home & works suite 2000

i have win xp and want to reinstall my works suite, my computer keeps tellin me to insert my win xp version when i try and install works 2000. i only got a restore cd w/ my computer. If i don't put it in it says that i can't over ride or it's protected. Please help me!
