I am running Windows XP Home SP2 with an AMD Athlon processor.
Everytime I switch my pc on, windows fails to boot.
I have tried 'starting windows normally' and 'last known good' to no avail.
The only way I can get windows to boot is through 'safe mode with
networking' and then restart.
Restarting is fine, pc says its remembering settings, but when I switch the
pc off ant then turn on again, windows fails to boot.
I have tried 'restoring to a previous time' (before problem occured) and
runing 'chkdsk' to no avail.
I have entered setup by pressing delete and looked at boot sequence and I
primarily attempt to boot from HDD-0.
I know nothing about boot sequences, but can't think of anything else that
could be causing this problem, unless pc isn't really remembering settings,
once I get it started (via safe mode with networking).
Can anyone suggest anythig for me to try, as I am finding this problem
slightly annoying now.
Thanks in advance.
