Windows XP Home SP 2 installation

Good Afternoon,

I have a Dell Dimension L series. The disk was erased using KILLDISK.
Windows XP Home SP 2 files load, but XP will not install. It hangs after
asking for the XP Home SP2 cd. The BIOS was upgraded, the chipset is fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not quite sure what your installing from..........a version of XP that includes
SP2?? a slipstreamed version? an Original Version of XP?? The downloaded SP2
files which would require XP to be installed first?? what??

Good Morning,

I am installing from the new Microsoft XP cd rom that came with SP2 already
included (this is the new XP Home disk being released by Microsoft). The
current OS on the computer is Windows ME. The bios and all drivers are
updated. Upgrade Advisor found no hardware or software incompatibilities.
This version does qualify for an upgrade. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
