I just purchased Windows XP Home and did a fresh install
on an existing computer that was running ME. The C drive
was formatted prior to the install. After everything was
finished and I logged on, I pressed the button to
activate the software and the machine rebooted and now
when I try to log on I get this message

"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking
the license for this computer, Error code: 0x80004005"

and it doesn't allow me to log on.

I researched this error code and tried article 306081 but
to no avail...

Can someone help me....

thanks
