My son was on the computer and it shut down and kept trying to restart.
It had a message like : we apologize for the inconvenience but windows did
not start successfully. A RECENT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CHANGE MIGHT HAVE
CAUSED THIS - (we didn't add any)
If your computer stopped responding restarted unexpectedly (yes) or was
automatically shut down to protect your fills & folders, choose LAST KNOWN
GOOD CONFIGURATION, to revert to the most resent settings.
I tried it and it just goes back to the same thing. I tried the other
choices too, but no luck. Help I'm using a different computer to write this.
I tried to start the computer with the original software, but I don't know
if I'm missing a CD it's asking for the "blue operating system CDfor windows"
but I have a red Gateway Drivers CD, a yellow Gateway Applications CD, and a
white Gateway InterVideo WinDVD but no blue one. Now what?
Help please.

For help with the STOP error please post back with the number (starts with
0x000...) or the title of the error (LOOKS_LIKE_THIS).

For assistance with Gateway's system recovery procedure you need to contact
Gateway.
