windows XP home edition SP2 changed loading time

Hi,

I have a problem when starting windows since yesterday.
Up to now after the windows Logo appeared the screen changed to black and
immediatly showed the mouse curser in the middle of the black window and
within a couple of seconds windows started.

Since yesterday the screen turns black after the windows logo appeared and
stays black for 67seconds before the mouse curser appears and only than
windows starts.
Once windows has started everything works just as fast as before.
Only the startup sequence has changed.

I dont know what caused this problem and how to fix it.

My computer spec:
Dell Dimension 4550 Series, 2.53GHz, 512KB memory
I have checked with Dell and there are no hardware problems.

I also restored to a previous day (three days earlier) and disabled all but
the Norton AV by running msconfig - startup, but to no avail.

Your help is appreciated.

Regards

Start>Run>type MSCONFIG and click OK.
Click the Startup tab and see what is checked that
is loading at startup. You may be able to uncheck/disable
some of them that you do not need to start at this time,
robbing your system of its valuable resources and run
a lot faster. Click Apply and Close. Reboot.
