Windows XP hangs a few seconds after boot

This problem is quite weird, and probably very easy to solve, only that i
don't know how LOL :)
Down below there's my hardware specifications if needed.

I've been using Windows XP so far with no problem at all.
Recently I bought a new much faster S-ATA HD, I installed it and used it
with no problem (Even checked for bad sectors but it's perfect).
I wanted to install Windows XP on the new S-ATA HD so that everything will
work faster.
Intallation went well and everything worked fine until I tried installing
the latest graphics driver.

When i install the graphics driver (Obtained from www.nvidia.com) everything
[appearently] works fine BUT:
If I reboot - then a few seconds after the login screen with my username and
icon appear the computer hangs (Mouse cursor is stuck and nothing works inc.
ALT+CTRL+DEL), then i have to reset the machine and use VGA mode again
(otherwise it hangs again in the same place).
If I don't reboot right after installing the driver and try to run a 3D
application (like "Return To Castle Wolfenstein" aka "RTCW" for example) it
works fine for a minute or two but then it hangs (again, totaly hangs,
nothing works but reset).

In VGA Mode (Accessed using F9 in the boot menu) everything works fine, but
graphics is very slow in general, i cannot increase my screen resolution and
3D application (like ) doesnt work at all.

Things i have already tried (None of them helped):
1. BIOS options changing (Really, all of them)
2. BIOS flash update
3. Motherboard drivers update
4. VIA Chipset drivers update
5. Changing extention cards location on the motherboard
6. Uninstalling/reinstalling VGA drivers (Including disabling Anti-Virus
proccess while doing it)
7. Installing older versions of the VGA drivers
8. Windows Update (All the updates are installed, including SP1a)
9. New windows installation on a formatted HD
10. Updating the drivers for every bit of hardware i got (Including
mouse,keyboard, cdroms etc.)
11. Removing items from Startup (Registry/Start menu)

A few important notes:
1. Everything works fine on the new Windows XP excepts for the graphics card
problem i mentioned. Including CD Writing, printing, Sound, LAN (Internet)
etc.
2. When I boot my old HD (Old WindowsXP) everything works fine, including
graphics and all, so it's not a Hardware problem.
3. It's not the blaster worm or any other type of known virus as i'm using
Norton Antivirus 2004 (Updated).

My hardware:
(CPU) 1-AMD Athlon™ XP 1700+, 1468MHz, 256KB
(MB) Asus A7V333 (Via KT333 Chipset)
(RAM) usage: 209/768MB (27.21%) .:.
(GFX) NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200,
(Display) Mag Innovision XJ700T
(OS) Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1 (5.1 - 2600), (installed for)
1w 2d 20h 7m, (uptime) 2h 2m 29s .:.
(HDDs) 61.9GB/126GB (49.1%) free

Thanks in advance to anyone that might come up with and idea to how to solve
it :)
