XP will not be sold much longer
but will still be officially supported for a while

Of course, once lack of official support ends,
it will hardly cause XP to cease to work

Not true. Windows XP is as secure as it is possible considering that it
is nearly 8 years old. People get bored after all these years using the
same OS [ or Application package ] so it is time to move on. In fact if
these reports are true then there is still some life left in XP as per
