Mr X
When setting up an FTP Server in Windows XP, under the 'File Sharing
Properties', there is a 'Box' to 'Allow Anonymous Connections', and
another to 'Allow IIS to control password', which, if I understand
correctly, is some system to ensure that Anonymous Loggers Onners,
will only be able to acces the FTP Folder I stipulate, and will not be
able to 'see' anything else.
My question is, "If I check the first Box, should I uncheck the
second, and, if so, will this not defeat the purpose of allowing IIS
to control passwords?" I certainly would not like to open up all my
Pornographic Material to the World, by accident.
What I would like to end up with is a Folder of pictures of our Church
Group which I can share with the World, and up to now have not been
able to share anything.
Many Thanks.
