Windows XP freezes

Windows XP freezes whenever I play a video using either RealPlayer or
Windows Media Player 11. The toolbar with play, pause, stop disappears
when the video is played leaving me with no way to exit it at the end.

Help! (Please!!!)

sometimes, it could
be an indication that
your computer is running
out of memory.

but at the same time,
perhaps you have too
many things running in
memory.

Thanks for trying but it's not a memory problem.

Express.

Amybody else got a suggestion?

Jimbp, many thanks...VLC is cool and working super!

One problem...When I receive an email with a wmv file attachment, I am
unable to double click and run the file. I get a message about the
folder needs a file association.
If I save the file to the desktop, it will run fine because my folder
options control panel file association for a wmv file is properly
pointed to VLC.

Any ideas?
