For the past 2 to 3 weeks my computer freezes..and I have to reset it ,when I
check the Event Viewer there are no errors. This happens at any given
moment, sometimes one after another ,sometimes at the login screen, and
sometimes not for a long time ( an hour or two ) and when downloading a file
( not music ) or running a scan (Virus/ Spyware).
I have scannen for a virus and spyware ( microsoft,ZoneAlarm
,Adaware,Spybot) they find nothing but tracking cookies.
computer is cool Temp. wise.
Please Help ?
thanks
RJ

I have the same problem. Fast computer, plenty of memory, and fresh install
with the startup disks. I did add all my original stuff back on though but
nothing that i'd think would cause a random freeze. sometimes freezes at
login, sometimes stays on all day. this computer isn't prejudice when it
comes to freezing. oh i checked eventvwr.msc and saw that "service control
manager" keeps having errors because it cannot find the file needed or
something. how would i fix that if that's the problem? thanks ~Phoenix
