Windows XP Folders

Just very recently whenever I double click a folder to
open it, it goes to Search instead, I can still right
click them to Open them tho. I've tried most of the basic
fixes already, and to my frustration nothing has worked.
I'm running up to date with Macafee, and Stopzilla...
Any ideas out there?
