windows xp error: 0x800C0005

Hi. I cannot my net passport. Evertime I try to access my
msn hotmail I get verify correct email address or
password which are fine to begine with. When I tried to
update my windows I got the error: 0x800C0005 can you
help? It seems like my internet explorer is corrupt.
NOTE: I have verified if I was infected with the sasser
worm which i am not.

Do you have Norton Internet Security installed ? It has been linked
to the 0x800C00005 error message when trying to connect to secure
(SSL) sites.

That's what I thought. Norton Internet Security has given
me a hard time and had sevral errors when intalling it.
