Does anyone has experienced windows XP going to the horrible blue screen?
I am having this problem over and over and it still happens.
I have notice that its always when i am using Windows Media Player that the
pc goes to the blue screen and then restarts.
What can i do to get over this problem? My windows its up to date.
Cheers

You need to collect the full 'blue screen' error message. To stop the
machine instantly rebooting, my computer, properties, advanced, startup
& recovery, UN-tick the 'restart after failure' box.

Now crash it, and write down the content of the 'suicide note'.

Given where it happens, I'd bet (small) amount of money on sound card
drivers being at the bottom of this (although it could also be hardware
related).

Does the BSOD (horrible blue screen, aka blue screen of Death) have a
message on it? Please, if it has a message, tell us EXACTLY what it says.
The message on the screen is rich with meaning.

To have time to read the details on the bluescreen you need to turn off automatic reboot from Control Panel, System, Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery button. Then when it happens write down the exact error message which will usually provide at least a hint at the cause. Post back with the error message details if you can't figure it out.
