Windows has randomly crashed three times now. Each time it comes up with the
blue screen of death, saying that windows is going to be shutdown to prevent
damage. When it restarts, it doesn't tell me what the problem is. There has
been no new hardware or anything installed recently, and i'm clueless why
this keeps happening

try safe mode
while booting up hit F8 just before the OS loads

can you get to safe mode normally?

if not you should run a RAM test

the explanation is in the blue screen ..look for something that resembles
this;
0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ..
keep in mind this is just an example, the error message and error code
number may be different.
