Windows XP: Computer no longer Hibernating

Andrew

Hi,

for the past few months my computer has stopped
hibernating and continues to run all day. I have recently
installed DSL on my computer and I need my computer to be
on most of the day, but it will not hibernate. I have
gone into the power settings for the computer and check
the "hibernation" box, restarted my computer and still
after the set 3-5 minutes my computer will not hibernate.
I need help in solving this problem if there is something
I need to update/ fix on my computer.
My computer originally came w/ Windows ME and last year I
updated it w/ Windows XP Home Edition..
Please email me back at (e-mail address removed)
thank you

one option is to go into your high speed modem settings and
make sure the modem is not 'waking' the computer.

Not sure if this is right and if its wrong I'm sure
someone will let you know. But you may want to check out
the POWER option within your BIOS. System stand by may be
disabled.

Also there may be a another setting in the BIOS "wake on
LAN" or something like that, not sure, but its worth a
try..

Be sure the BIOs settings "Wake on LAN" & "Wake on Alarm "
are off, "Hibernate/ Sleep Support " should be on and set to

In 2 Timothy 3:1-7, there is a list of the qualities that
Unregenerate man will have in the last days. Is your quality
found there? If So, don't despair - Christ came to save His
people.
