Hello, this might sound a bit odd but I scratched my WindowsXP Pro CD Really
bad. Still got my box. My key and all. But I cannot Re-install Windows. Is
there a way to contact microsoft so that i can have a replacement CD? or I
have to buy a new copy.

Any ideas on what I can do?

let me know,
thanks,

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer.

It's not the CD that matters, but the license to use the O/S and the install
key. You have both.

Sooo, get a copy of the CD from a friend who has the exact same install CD.
In other words, if you have Windows XP Home Upgrade - Retail edition, you
can use the exact same disk from someone else, along with your install key.
Everything will work out just fine.

No need to call Microsoft at all, and a lot faster I would bet.
